I know we've been apart,
Missing from the start.
I know I hurt you bad,
That I messed you up good.
I know we had a lot,
You know I'd never forget.
Know that I'd be with you til' the end.

So goodbye my friend,
I'd hope we'd meet again,
See your crystal eyes,
Glinting in the night sky,
See your face, one last time.
So goodbye...my friend.

I know you were frail,
Standing behind a shield.
Crying your heart out,
You reached out a hand for help.
And I foolishly held you close.
I never wanted to leave,
Please know you meant a lot.
Know I never forgot those clock time days.

So goodbye my friend,
I'd hope we'd meet again,
See your broken smiles,
Fixed for a while,
See your glassy eyes, one last time.
So goodbye my friend.

I know you were crying,
Beneath those kind smiles.
I know you cared less about yourself,
And more about others.
Cause you thought you were worthless.
I know you were tired,
Tired of broken smiles.
Tired of faking what you really felt.

So goodbye, my friend.
Please know I'll never forget.
Please know it still hurts to hear your name,
Please know I want you back,
Want to see you one last time.
Please know,

I loved you.

So goodbye, my friend,

One last time.
You know...heh...I've lost a lot of people, pets, friends, family. Mostly friends. So, when I call you my friend...please don't ever leave me. You want the truth? I'm scared of having friends...scared of losing people. Scared of breaking again. When I write poems that are sad, it's not my imagination. It's me begging.

Please, please, please.

I beg of you, on my hands and knees, on the ground, on hot coals.

Please, don't leave me...

Please
